Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Michael Y — 20 Nov 2009
Well, it's based on an album. So there would naturally be many different interpretations based on the core plot. This interpretation didn't cut for me. I love the album very much and was disturbed by how much they changed the songs, the arrangement and even added new songs to fit the movie. The new songs weren't really very relevant in my opinion. However, I did love the animation very very much. It gave them an opportunity to express what they felt so much better.
Although the album gets 5 stars from me, the movie only gets 3.
PS: This is one of my favourite albums and what I regard as one of the best albums of all time! Did anyone do a film about Sgt. Pepper?
