All these half-star ratings, to me, seem to suggest that John Waters succeeded in accomplishing whatever the hell it was he wanted to accomplish with this film.
Toward the end, I thought this might be some kind of nuanced (if that word can even apply) commentary on media exploitation, but then I realized...nah.
This is a nihilistic, cynical, joyously mean-spirited romp, but I ashamedly have to admit that it worked for me, in all its perverted glory.
