Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Adam A — 15 Jan 2008
This film is like a donkey show: disgusting and vile, but you just can't look away. It's basically a walking aristocrats joke. At times, it's nearly unwatchable and you won't feel good about yourself afterwards.
However, John Waters created something phenomenally original, which I don't think I'll ever see matched in my lifetime. It's not a good movie by any means, but you cannot ignore the beauty of its creativity and it's bold and brash attack against everything the common man holds sacred.
