Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Ivy K — 28 Aug 2009
After 10 years of searching for this film it was certainly worth it. So rare is a film of this calibre, so outrageous and so much fun. This genuinely wow'd me and almost, almost made me feel ill.. John Water's is pure genius and should be worshipped as should this film.
The acting is surprisingly brilliant, despite the grotesque content. Characters like Divine are beyond entertaining and far too rare in modern films. A rare occasion were Ivy has given all 5 stars.
