Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Dr. F P — 05 May 2013

Pink Flamingos is hard to review, i've gone over in my head countless times trying to say something coherent but I just can't. When I saw this the first time I was already familiar with John Water's brand of humor so it wasn't such a shock but for real that butt-hole scene still makes me feel queasy and i'm not really into torturing animals.

For the most part I love the characters, and i'm in love with David Lochary and Mink Stole's hair! Seeing it again I was still cracking up at all of that insanely quotable hyperbolical dialogue! And Edith Massey is hilarious.

I would not recommend this to people who find genitalia and butt-holes as gross as I do (yeah I know that's weird of me but for real...) Divine is divine here!
