Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Heather K — 26 Apr 2008
I don't know if there's any film genre called "high camp" but this loony trash by John Waters would fit the bill quite well. It is a film about who can be the filthiest person in Baltimore.
It's probably going to be you after watching...Unfortunately, the terrible editing and sex and scat scenes are worthy of wincing (not fascination), and not to mention a horribly contrived plot and poor taste, it adds up to a dull and humorless piece of poo.
Or nostalgia, whichever. Avoid.
