Review of Ping Pong Summer (2014) by Barry K — 14 Oct 2014
Not the best of small indie movies but if you like "local" filmed movies then this may be for you.
Filmed in a Ocean City, MD a boy enjoying summer vacation at a popular beach destination in Maryland for locals.
Why they spend most of their time in an arcade is beyond me. It's a beach resort and the only time you go into the arcade is when it's rainy or at night.
It's great to see how Ocean City has never really changed in 30 years. Sure there are new buildings but overall it's timeless location.
If you can get past the sub par acting and the cheesy story line, essentially a rich towney whom to today's standards is a bully A challenge of I can beat you at Ping Pong ensues, the end.
Been here before. It's called the Karate Kid.
So if you are a Marylander and like local movies then watch other wise just pass. Thought it would be better.
