Review of Ping Pong Playa (2008) by Erik O — 10 Sep 2008

It's a lot like 'The Rocker,' in that it had the potential to be much funnier than it was, but the final product is still pretty enjoyable. The main character starts out as a douchebag, but it's really hard not to root for him at the end; the supporting cast was also generally likeable, too.

It's definitely not perfect, and three stars could be a generous rating, but I thought that this flick worked well as a "family Comedy," and also had a small handful of good laughs. I can understand why some people wouldn't like it; but, if nothing else, I found it to be a reasonable way to spend 96 minutes.
