WORD! This independent film was surprisingly funny & genuinely entertaining! The cast was good all 'round, the direction was well-done, and I even liked the hip-hop soundtrack. I think at its heart, this is about livin' the dream, even when you finally realize that dream isn't quite what you thought it was going to be.
The title character, Chris, is a slacker who lives and breathes basketball, but he doesn't have what it takes to make it to the NBA; he's a good kid though, and when he has to step up to fill in for his table tennis champion brother and instructor mother after a minor car accident leaves them both unable to play, he finally finds his niche.
