Though it may not play for as wide of an audience, 'Pineapple Express' serves as a worthy follow up to the instant-classic 'Superbad.' It's only his second go-round in a starring role, but Rogen naturally carries the movie as the likable and unintentionally funny pothead, Dale Denton. James Franco makes a spectacular breakthrough into comedy with his legendary performance as a loony pot dealer and aspiring civil engineer called Sal. Rogen and Franco are backed with hilarious supporting performances from Danny McBride, Gary Cole, Craig Robinson, Cleo King and Bill Hader.

'Pineapple Express' is for audiences who will enjoy a marijuana-fueled crazy violent ride. Watching this movie is akin to walking into a room of slaphappy man-children who are smoking weed and playing video games. If you want to join in, feel welcome, Seth and his friends are good company. But if you're not into that kind of thing, don't stand there and criticize them, just fuckin' leave. David Gordon Green and his crew did a fantastic job bringing a script by Rogen and Evan Goldberg to the screen. No matter what your opinion is on the content, there's no denying 'Pineapple Express' is a solid bit of filmmaking.
