David Gordon Green is one of those rising directors in the film industry. With indies like 'Joe' and 'Prince Avalanche,' he shows his distinct originality. 'Pineapple Express' is too mainstream for him, but it does manage to pull off a few laughs.
Many audiences will enjoy the humor that comes from marijuana. Even I enjoyed some moments, but sometimes it just dragged on and got repetitive with its humor, which is not that clever to begin with.
