Richard Roeper put it best, I don't know why people find this to be one of the funniest movies ever made. Will people laugh at ANYTHING these days? I prefer my comedy to be sharp and smart, not quick, brainless and cheap.
Cheap laughs are good once in a while, but they can't carry an entire movie.
