I can envision days on which I might have been in a more indulgent mood and enjoyed watching this movie, but today was not one of them. I can't see yet why the film has received the love and acclaim that it has.
The random, freewheeling humour that I enjoyed in other products from the Apatow stable ('Superbad' or 'The 40-Year Old Virgin') was grating and annoying here. I found it, for the most part a dull and witless experience.
