Those unfamiliar with the work of the late Pina Bausch or are not fans of her highly emotive and frequently overwrought dance style may not enjoy sitting through this. There are arresting images of the dances filmed in and out of the studio but the film could have used some pruning and more judicious editing esp.

of the numerous interspersed recollections of Pina by members of her troupe. 3D was superfluous and didn't add much to the experience.
