Review of Pillow Talk (1959) by Stephen L — 05 Nov 2010
What passed for wit & sophistication in a 1959 Hollywood product for mass consumption. The double entendres are oftentimes charming and Day & Hudson clearly enjoy one another's company. The set design is lush, split screen is perhaps defined by this movie, and there are great turns by Tony Randall and Thelma Ritter.
That said, PT is a feature-length euphemism that desperately needs some fucking.
