Review of Pieces of April (2003) by Al P — 08 Mar 2010
I guess the whole moral of this story is that family will always be your family no matter what happens. Everyone in the family had a strange personality in some way. They all made fun of Katie Holmes character saying she was not right, yet they themselves were all strange in their own way.
Katie Holmes did play her part pretty well. The rest of her family for the movie also did a decent job. I really enjoyed Patricia Clarkson in the movie. There seemed to be a lot of back story missing and on top of that, there were many parts that were kind of boring.
Plus the whole shaky camera did give the movie a more "real" feel, yet it was too much at points and left you not wanting to look at the screen. But overall, it was an interesting film and worth watching at least once.
