Review of Pieces (2003) by Eric H — 08 Aug 2007
Four stars for sheer entertainment value. Gore galore, chainsaw wielding overcoat and fedora wearing killer strikes a Boston college campus, but make no mistake this is 100% pure Spanish-Italian cheese.
J.P. Simon's ode to American slashers is non-stop laughs and gags! Recoil in horror as the Asian "Kung-Fu" professor" attacks Lynda Day George (as an unlikely undercover police woman) because of "bad chop suey"!!! Watch a guy get his balls crushed by a bare hand (and some amazing sound effects), Exploitative, certainly! Sick? Probably should be, but so indescribably BAD that it comes off as a comedy.
You couldn't even make a movie like this today and call it a comedy! Needs to be seen to be believed!
