Review of Piece By Piece (2005) by Sam K — 17 Sep 2006
Piece by Piece is something of a modern west coast Style Wars. It picks up right where Style Wars left off in 1983, and is set in San Francisco. They follow the progression of the SF Funk style along with all of the outside influences that made their way in over the years.
The key difference between this and Style Wars, besides the decade, is that they took the time to show the darker side of the world of graffiti. From murders to the unjust laws that are passed to prevent them from creating their art, the message really becomes one preaching tolerance from the population.
Fellow graffiti enthusiasts shouldn't hesitate to check this flick out..
