It's a cute flick. Jennifer is Jennifer. Jay Mohr is sweet. Kevin Bacon is pretty hot. The story is slightly/somewhat interesting.

Something to watch on a rainy night when you want to stay in and it's coming on TNT.

Spoilers most likely to follow...

I only saw this movie most recently, so after the whole Friends Finale, etc., this may affect my views.

Actors:

Jennifer is pretty funny as Kate. Not as flaky or hand wavy as Rachel/Friends, but same comic timing.

Jay Mohr. I have to say it's actually kinda nice to seem him as a sweet guy. Until now, I've only seen him as the shark in Jerry McGuire and other roles where he's just not too nice. He has the intense "in-love look" down pretty good.

Kevin Bacon is pretty good as the bad boy, stud muffin.

For some reason, I thought Jay and Kevin would be doing the other's roles in this movie.

[MAJOR SPOILER].

Premise: Typical "misunderstanding leads to major (financial and career) gains but in order to obtain what is most important (such as love) the misunderstanding must be exposed" general plot (often employed by many romantic comedies and the entire Three's Company Series). The picture twist was pretty interesting. The unbelievable part is that Nick becomes a TV worthy hero, and "THIS" is the reason the boss has to meet him.

Overall, I thought it was a cute chick flick, worth at least watching if coming on tv at a convenient time of the day [like it was for me].
