Review of Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) by Sean C — 28 Apr 2008
Why does there need to be resolutions in movies? They aren't completely necessary all the time. The fact that this movie doesn't end with everything all tied up in a neat little package is what gives it it's intense mystery.
This was a real discovery for me. I watched it years ago on a whim when I saw it at the library. Anything that begins with an Edgar Allen Poe quote is great for me. It's ponderous and enigmatic and I loved it.
