Review of Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) by Rosemarie S — 27 Aug 2009
Stumbled into this one on some "100 best horrormovies" list. Also read that this is Australia's first international blockbuster. Movie was eerie as hell (panflute soundtrack had something to do with it) and carried this odd vibe throughout whole movie.
It's a tale about australian schoolgirls (in the year 1900) who go to valentine's day picnic at Hanging Rock (yes, very original title). Four girls wonder from others and one returns screaming and dress all torn.
Also one teacher is missing who went after girls. This movie sure isnt in my "Top 100 Horror Movies" list.
