There were scenes and sequences of this film that were utterly captivating. Some of the images combined with the lilting music made me feel like I was living in a dream. It was marvelous. But then the other scenes were.
..not good, to say the least. They were boring, slow, and pointless. I love Peter Weir but this was one of his most disappointing films.
