Review of Pi (1998) by Heart C — 10 Jan 2011
Although a stunning movie to look at (I do love high contrast black and white), I found myself acquiring a headache approaching the the ones of main character Max. Aronofsky's disturbing vision, mixed with a plethora of incorrect mathematical facts made it difficult for me to determine artistic licence from pretentiousness filmmaking.
I do believe this film will require a couple of more watches (or discussions) before I can truly make up my mind. Until then, I give it 3 stars.
