Review of Pi (1998) by Soham G — 03 Apr 2010
Loved it. The one dissapointing thing was what the whole 216 number thing was. I was kinda hoping it would be something else but no matter because the film does not suffer for this and it made sense to go into that direction.
The lead was brilliantly executed by Gullette and youre never truly sure whos the good guys and bad guys. Some great direction and cinematography from Aronofsky in what is quite obviously a low budget flick but he utilises what he has to great effect.
Very well thought out narrative and ive never found Math as fascinating as I did in this film. Highly recommend, but be warned it does take some thinking.
