Review of Pi (1998) by D G — 07 Oct 2012

I liked the gritty, rough texture. The meshing of two separate cultures in a strange way was interesting. The apparent hero/antihero (depending on the viewpoint of either side) is the same person. Is he good or bad?

Is he selfishly pursuing his own or their goals? Maybe he's addled from drugs or maybe they're helping him maintain what little sanity he can muster.

His "Go" companion is right about the magic number but does it still do what Max thinks it will do? Can he figure out how to plug it in where it matters?

Is his way out of the nightmare real or just more nightmare?
