Review of Pi (1998) by Ross B — 13 Jan 2010
A bizarre yet very interesting film about life and math. Darren Aronofsky's first film has a very similar feel to it as Lynch's Eraserhead. The difference is that there is clearly a plot in this movie while Eraserhead just delves into the maddening world of our nightmares.
Aronofsky takes us on a more spiritual journey and poses the question: could a number lead us to some sort of higher power? It is a quick film to watch and an intriguing one as well.
