I only watched this movie because after seeing Requiem for a Dream I simply had to see all of Darren Aronofsky's films. However, it is no where near the level of Requiem.
But the premise is pretty interesting and the conclusion is excellent, but if you get annoyed with loud annoying noises I would not recommend this film :).
