Review of Pi (1998) by Michael V — 07 Jul 2013
This film engaged my mind and gave me hope in independent cinema. The overexposed, bright, black and white look was unique and very fitting for this film. The overall feel of this film was dreamlike and different than most.
The story is strong and truly makes you think. Some scenes are disturbing and difficult to watch. "PI" falls into a category of it's very own. It is just shy of brilliant, but high above so many other films of it's day.
If you like mind benders, this one is for you. Strange, wonderful and artistic.
