Review of Pi (1998) by Grant K — 04 Dec 2013
Definitely an Aranofsky vision, this is an intriguing, disturbing and creepy psychological thriller. Although the math is actually a secondary plot device, this is still an impressive descent into madness and showcases the early talent that would morph into Aranofsky's later, more impressive works ("Requiem for a Dream," "Black Swan").
Still, for a movie named "Pi," the numbers could have been more than just a MacGuffin.
