Review of Phone Booth (2003) by Andrew E — 20 Jun 2010
A sharp, punchy film with a lot to say on the subject of being an arse hole and why you should seriously consider not being one...
Farrell's character is not a bad man he's just a bastard so it does at times seem odd that he should be punished in this manner but we never really get to know the killer so everything he says could be a lie and he is just trying to frighten Farrell.
This felt like a precursor to the SAW Franchise but not as violent.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and loved Colin Farrell's performance, I am not usually a fan but here he sparkled.
Defiantly one of Joel Schumacher's better efforts and continues his reoccurring theme of average people being pushed to the limits by societies cold attitude towards the little guy.
