Review of Phone Booth (2003) by Jodi A — 28 May 2012
From the second Kiefer Sutherland mutters to Colin Farrell the irony that even though when a phone rings and it could be anybody, it must still be answered, this movie shifts into high gear and it doesn't let up.
Kiefer Sutherland makes it obvious early on that he is the star of this show as the clever and creative but merciless role of The Caller, which says nothing less of Colin Farrell's well done performance as the arrogant Stu Shepherd who, with a little "help" from The Caller, decides to tearfully confess his sins to the whole city.
This movie will have you on the edge of your seat, and every twist is quite effective. If you see this movie on the shelf of the video store, don't wait. Pick it up and watch it as soon as you get home.
Trust me you won't regret it. Tension, a great senseof pacing, and genuine thrills make Phone Booth a ride that you won't soon forget. I give Phone Booth 4/5 stars.
