Its a beautiful and Frank story about what Irish women had to go through if they were giving birth to illegitimate children. I think this movie, however, portrayed nuns and the Catholic church with very staunch and hypocritical views that were hurtful to all parties.
not to say what they did was right. but I think there are nuns who are what people would determine as good and not so prude... except for the portayal of the nuns I really enjoyed this movie :).
