Review of Philomena (2013) by David L — 12 Mar 2014
The story moves at a very fluid pace and the chemistry between Steve Coogan and Judi Dench is constantly entertaining. They got the casting pretty damn right, which makes the film work. I still think the film is catered to a certain demographic which doesn't make it stand out compared to some of the other nominated films from 2013, but I was entertained and strongly moved at certain points.
