Review of Philomena (2013) by Hardy C — 19 Mar 2014
This movie would be moving (pun not intended) if it were just pure fiction. But that in its most important emotional elements it is absolutely non-ficitional the film takes on a dimension of sadness, cruelty and institutional arrogance that renders the audience numbed.
A deserving nominee for Best Picture indeed.
