The incomparable Dame Judi Dench returns in this moving true story of a woman who loses her only son to adoption. 50 years later, she is accompanied by Martin Sixsmith (played by Steve Coogan) on a journey to find her lost son. Philomena travels to America and back to Ireland to find her son and... ( I wont spoil it for you).
Now there really is nothing bad to say about this movie. Philomena comes across as one of the most heartfelt and beautiful movies to be made. Dame Judi acts as if she really is Philomena Lee which will amaze audiences again and again. Coogan's role is also successful as her sidekick anc together, they become a moving, funny and overall magnificent duo.
The movie also doesn't overrun, only lasting 98 minutes. However, those 98 minutes are ones that audiences will cherish as they are so beautiful to watch.
