Ahaaaaa..That bloke off Alan Partridge plays a BBC reporter who was fired but wasn't his fault (it's only mentioned like 100 times in this film).
Seriously now, it's a true story and based on one Irish Mother who attempts to track down her son who was sold to an American Family. There is much more online and in the book, so as always if you like the film get the book or just use the power of Google.
