As a movie with raw emotion and a gripping immediacy, "Philomena" will stay with you. It is a gentle comedy and an interesting drama. The film is an indictment of the Catholic church, but very absorbing to watch, follow and enjoy, particularly for its flawless performances.
Judi Dench does an incredible job in the part of Philomena, a figure of compassion and forgiveness amid so much deceit.
