Review of Philomena (2013) by Lucas Augusto C — 16 Nov 2014
"Philomena" is an unforgettable and pure cinematic masterpiece from the British filmmaker Stephen Frears (The Queen, Dangerous Liaisons) which tells the (true) story of Philomena Lee, a British lady and the search for his son who was taken from her in a long period time, and his attempts to recover it next to the journalist Martin Sixmith.
An instant classic gifted with an eloquent spirit of sensitivity and passion, the dramatic comedy from Stephen Frears manages to take the audience will understand the journey of Martin and Philomena for her lost child in the United States, who furiously walks into the hope of Philomena reencontrá- after it lost time lamenting an "error" imposed by the Catholic Church, which it blamed for her sin.
In an effusively brilliant screenplay written by actor Steve Coogan, who also starred in and produced the film, with the script writer Jeff Pope, Philomena is without a doubt one of the best films of the year, it shines on its excellent storytelling and adjunctive within this real story.
