Review of Philomena (2013) by Dmitry F — 20 Dec 2014
This movie is painful to watch. It's a sad story of church punishing, criticising and blaming against simple human mercy and forgiveness. Very powerful. Totally believable. A few things changed (look at abortion protesters throwing rocks and spitting in the face), women dying denied life-saving procedures, gay criticism.
Though I have to admit current Pope is actually more about forgiveness. If you actually red Holy Bible yourself that is what it is supposed to be about.
