This fine dramedy from England is based on the true story of Philomena Lee, an old lady who had gotten pregnant when she was 18 and unwed, went to a nunnery, and had her son forcibly adopted away. Now she is trying to find him after 50 years with the help of a journalist.
It is a movie that is sweet and funny and heartwarming.
