Review of Philadelphia (1993) by Jay N — 07 Apr 2010
My favorite part about this movie its just how real it is, obviously its suppose to be realistic but after seeing this film you'll think it was based on a true story. Just like every other performance he's ever done Denzel Washington did great in this movie.
However I was more impressed with Tom Hanks performace because he is so believable and you really care for his character and after watching this film its obvious why he won an Oscar. I also thought Antonio Banderas was very believable as a homosexual and Tom Hanks partner respectably.
If your a person that would turn their back on this movie for fear of seeing two men become intimate then have no fear because you never see anything like that in this movie. If your a Tom Hanks or Denzel Wahington fan or just want to see a great movie with two brilliant performances this is a must see.
