Review of Philadelphia (1993) by Bernard L — 21 Apr 2011
Denzil Washington and Tom Hanks star in this emotive film about a bright young lawyer who has contracted AIDS and fights against the discrimination he is made to endure from his colleagues/former bosses when his is sacked because of his illness.
Excellent acting; excellent script, sensitively portrayed film about issues that were highly contentious at the start of the 90's with respect to HIV/AIDS virus. Fantastic music score too to the film!
