Review of Philadelphia (1993) by Chris S — 30 Sep 2012
Philadelphia is one of the first Hollywood film to deal with the AIDS tragedy. It's also one of the first Hollywood films to directly approach homophobia, which was one of the biggest problems of the '90s, and while the following topics are approached thoroughly throughout the film, it's often let down by sloppy direction, dialogue, and unconvincing performances.
