Watched this again, after seeing it initially so long ago. Great movie, although the response of the government and the subsequent shunning of George Malley, even with all his promise, both saddened me and pissed me off.
And as cliche as the response of the FBI was, it also struck me as accurate. So too did the response of his childhood friends and neighbors. If faced with a being of such promise, would we today welcome him or piss on him? I wonder.
