Review of Phenomenon (1996) by Ritchie G — 13 Mar 2010
"Would you love me for the rest of my life?" "No, I would love you for the rest of mine".
A heart-wrenching poem of cherishing everyday and embracing differences, a moving tale of loving even when the end is in sight, Travolta as Mr Phenomenon resonates with us through his down-to-earth enthusiasm and the capacity to remind that the human spirit, sometimes need not always be mega-inspiring but one that is heartfelt.
Whitaker leads a strong supporting cast and it's no doubt that this was the must-see movie of 1996. And, I like the pne of the most romantic "haircut and shaving" scene of all time as well as the fountain-of-tears ending that rivals even that of Titanic's.
