Review of Phenomenon (1983) by Owen J — 13 May 2008
A lovely little film. I must have seen it a dozen times yet I never tire of it. Although the premise of the movie is holier than a Catholic church, I can't help but get swept up by the story every time I see it.
John Travolta, Forest Whitaker and Robert Duvall are a powerhouse combination for heart string plucking. Only the hardest of hearts could resist being moved by their performances.
A heartfelt little film along the same lines as movies such as "Always", Phenomenon is harmless and endearing.
