Review of Phenomena (1985) by Jason D — 29 Jul 2010
If A Nightmare On Elm Street were directed by David Lynch, it may have turned out like Phenomena. One of the more maligned releases from Dario Argento, it nevertheless puts most horror of the last 20 years to shame.
In the scope of Argentos work, it ranks at the bottom of his top tier. There's a lot of great cinematography as was the norm for Argento at this time. The soundtrack is very good and the surreal/supernatural plot is well executed.
