Review of Phantoms (1998) by Megan B — 26 May 2009
I have to say that there is only one unexpected saving grace for this film: the monster itself. It was so powerful, diabolical, destructive and ravenous that one would not expect it to be what it turned out to be.
Then again, after finding out what the monster was, I was still chilled because it sounded innocent enough. Whenever something that sounds harmless is made dangerous on screen, that's brilliant storytelling.
