So Phantom Thread or should I call it the last Daniel Day-Lewis film, I'm not because I'm gonna give it the respect it deserves, first of all, the film itself is a great love exploration story that by all means is incredibly and breathtakingly well acted, you're met with these beautifully written dialogues that offer an insight into the eccentricity that love will surely have you feel, DDL as always crafts his character to the slightest details and he actually lives through it, his endless charisma brings his acting to life and at times you will surely forget that it is acting, it is immenesly sad that he's retiring, as we're witnessing a legendary actor leaving our screens for ever and that is heart-wrenching.

Vicky Krieps who plays (Alma) will have you amazed at how good her acting is, her effortless performance without any doubt stole the show as she tenderly tells a story within her own, she gracefully glides from scene to scene as she works along a powerhouse of an actor and she held her own amazingly, she truly was a joy to watch.

Yet again, Paul Thomas Anderson creates a polished and well-refined script that tells a simple love story in a complex way, he managed to have a unified feel through the film which ultimately was the gripping factor that the film strived for.

In few words, Phantom Thread is a wonderful effort all around and its nomination for best picture is well deserved.
