I was so excited to go and see this movie!! I bought tickets weeks in advance because I love Daniel Day Lewis, history, romance, fashion - it was my perfect movie!! I was so horribly disappointed :( There COULD have been a story there but after sitting through the whole thing I still had absolutely no connection with any of the characters.
I can give it a star because I sincerely loved the costuming and loved how accurate the measurement scene was. I just wish I gave a damn about any of the characters in the story or how it all ended up.
And Daniel Day Lewis' final performance just kind of left me thinking "What a dick...".
